Coffee, considered to be one of the most loved beverages all over the globe, especially, at this time when the world is taking rest, foodies are all awake to discover something new, something that soothes your soul, be it hot or cold.
Dalgona: What’s All the Coffee About?
You can connect with this in a jiffy if you are a social media person, for the past 2-3 days it has gained more attention than Columbus got while discovering America! The reason is simple, IT IS COFFEE! If that was not enough, you cannot ignore its creamy frothy texture and the taste will not disappoint for sure.
You might have seen this delicious cup of Java on Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms as every second one is following this trend, posting a picture with their portion and why not when the outcome is an absolute heart-melting glass of gorgeousness.
The trend started from a South Korean YouTube channel, this whipped beauty is called Dalgona coffee as the look and feel is strikingly similar to the Korean honeycomb toffee called Dalgona.
Now the question is how to whip this sensation called Dalgona coffee? There is nothing more simple and interesting than preparing a cup of concoction even if you are at the outskirts of civilization. Coffee, sugar, milk and water is all that you need.
How to Make A Cup of Dalgona Coffee
Enough discussed, let’s check out the steps to whip up a cup of this molten golden goodness. Bring it on!
- Take 2 tablespoons of Instant Coffee in a bowl
- Add 2 tablespoons of sugar in it
- Now pour 2 tablespoons of hot water to it and that’s all
- Keep whisking it until you see a creamy light brown texture
- Keep whipping the cream till it starts forming soft peaks
- Add ice cubes in a clean glass and pour 3/4th glass of chilled milk in it
- Top the milk with spoonsful of whipped Dangola coffee
- Voila! It is ready to fill you with a bomb of happiness
Tips from our Chef Madhura:
a) You can add a little fresh cream in the coffee-sugar-water mix for a creamier texture.
b) You can mix a little bit of cocoa powder with the milk for better taste.
c) If you like your coffee hot, go ahead and try it with a warm glass of milk.
